The Powder Room: Forget gadgets, is this wristband the ultimate Glastonbury Festival accessory?

The Powder Room promises to banish those Glastonbury Festival war stories about the toilets and lack of showers…

While you can’t predict what the weather is going to be like at the Glastonbury Festival, there are a few things you can guarantee: a disturbing toilet experience at some point and a wish that you could step into a nice warm shower.

With that in mind, the people behind Zooloos and The Pop-Up Hotel have created The Powder Room.

“We love Glastonbury Festival. Where better to debut The Powder Room luxury loos and showers than a truly iconic event in the festival calendar,” the official Powder Room website announces .

The facilities will be open from 26 June to 1 July, from 9am to 11pm daily, and you’ll need a £59 pre-purchased wristband to get access.

That purchase gets you:

  • Use of all the shower and loo facilities, just a seven-minute level walk to gate D
  • Access to the café and bar

Pamper packages are also available for an additional charge, with hair dryers also costing extra.

“Think of us as a tented oasis with plentiful hot showers, spotless eco-friendly flush loos and a chill out area with café bar,” the organisers say.

The facilities are just outside the festival site, off Stickleball Lane.
